Specialist vs Generalist

But does this limit your opportunities to just that domain? Or does it make you indispensable in a niche where depth is rare?

🧩 The Generalist – You span across functions: hardware, software, design, testing, supply chain, manufacturing, user research. You're not the deepest expert in any one thing—but you understand how all the pieces fit. You're the integrator, the bridge between silos, the enabler of end-to-end thinking.

But is there a risk you’re seen as a jack-of-all-trades and master of none? Or does this make you uniquely capable of driving the complete product vision?

👉 Personally, I’ve found my home as a generalist - an integrator and collaborator, bringing together talented specialists across multi disciplines to build cohesive, innovative consumer products. What I’ve enjoyed most is working with a broad spectrum of brilliant people and rallying them behind a common mission. That alignment of minds and efforts is where the magic of product creation truly happens.
